I chose to research how campus' could be using tokenism in their advertising and recruitment of students, especially athletes. I found that Northwest Missouri State University has a higher percentage of minority students in their social media, promotional videos and other advertising than coastal universities. This may seem great, but there is a higher percentage of minority citizens in those coastal areas than there are here in the Midwest. Overall, researching this topic truly opened my eyes to equitable advertising.

Adding a minor in Diversity, Equity & Inclusion was also a great decision as it has allowed me to expand not only my personal perspective, but how to broaden my work in advertising.
