Crimson & Blue Day Open House
KU Junior Days
Easily one of my favorite experiences while working with KU Admissions. Our annual Crimson & Blue Day Open House event brings around 3,000 total guests on campus to experience everything KU has to offer. My primary roles in planning this event include coordinating with around 30 campus partners to host sessions, working with our marketing team for print and digital media, and serving as a day of event lead.
I've had the honor of leading the planning and execution of KU's eight Junior Day events each spring semester. Targeted at high school juniors, these events meet students where they are in the college search process and provide prospective Jayhawks with relevant resources. As an introduction to the college experience, guests are able to attend academic presentations from KU's professional schools, go on a campus tour, and experience on-campus housing and dining. KU Junior Days are presented as a day to "experience life on the Hill" and truly showcase the Jayhawk experience.
